We're 6,5 point underdogs.     We typically don't play well after a layoff.  Couisnard won't be playing today.   A win would be great, but a loss isn't a killer.  We need to beat either Florida St. or Clemson and win all the other non-conference games.   Of course I'd love to win them all.  Hoping for the best.

Fl. State is longer and more talented.  They should do well in the ACC.   We played several freshmen in the first half:  Gray, Minott, Wright, Woodley, D.Carter.    Wildens didn't play much.  Not sure why.   Reese isn't a good dribbler and FL.St. puts lots of pressure on the ball, full court.  So we got nothing from Reese in the first half.  State is very big at all spots.  Their guards are long.  Makes it hard to get good jump shots.  Have to attack off the dribble and find opportunites in the paint.   I don't expect to win, but I'd like to be competitive in the second half.

Osborne with a STUPID good block on Keyshawn headed to basket.  7.2 left with SC up 66-65.  Everything I expected in this one.

We were 44% to 37% (better defense as the game progressed) from the field and only shot 50% from the FT line, but out-rebounded FSU 41-33.

Three players in double digits and 36 points off the bench.

Boy!  That was an exciting win!   I hate that we can't make FT.  That bugs me bad.   Hope we can improve on that as we play more games.  That is a HUGE win for us.  Fla. St. is very good and well regarded.   If we can win at Clemson, we have a chance to win the remainder of our non-conference games.    Winning this game should boost our confidence.   If we can compete with F. State, we can compete against most of the SEC teams.   I'm very excited about the team going forward.   We need to get Couisnard back.  We have yet to play our best, which is encouraging.    I like this team.   We have a lot of pieces.   I want to mention Chico Carter.   He played well today.

Our record in arenas with less than 1500 seats is improving.  LOL

Seriously, though, that arena is tastefully done in colors like Wofford's fairly new one.

This is a big win that should only look better and better as the season goes on. It's still hard to believe we won that game, considering we played terrible the first 15 minutes or so.

Frank said in the PG radio interview we were too emotional and tight in the first half.  It's bad, but also good that the guys were pumped up for the fight with the Noles.
