USC had worked hard on junior college OL Branton Autry of Coffeyville JC, KS but he committed to Florida earlier this week. Autry had said USC would get one of his official visits. It’s not known if he will take other official visits now that he’s committed to the Gators.
Clemson had targeted DL Julian Rochester of Powder Springs, GA and the Tigers felt good about their chances with him after he visited earlier in the year. But Georgia was always going to be hard to beat for him and he committed to the Bulldogs Thursday while in Athens for an unofficial visit.
OL Cortez Herrin (6-4 334) of Saluda Thursday committed to East Carolina.
Richland Northeast LB TJ Brunson will visit Georgia Southern this weekend.
Blythewood QB David Israel and DB Kris Pam were offered by SC State.
Clemson offered DB Spencer Perry of IMG Academy, Bradenton, FL. He’s a Florida commitment.
Clemson offered 2017 DE Zachary Carter of Tampa and 2017 OL Noah DeHond of Highstown, NJ.
2017 QB Bruce Judson of Cocoa, FL, who is an Ohio State commitment, plans to visit Clemson this summer.
2017 WR Emmanuel Greene of IMG Academy in Bradenton, FL will visit Ohio State June 24 and he also plans to visit Clemson and Miami this summer.
Clemson offered 2018 DB Mike Jones Jr. of Lebanon, TN and 2018 DB Christian Tutt of Thomson, GA. USC, Tennessee and Georgia Tech are some of the other offers for Tutt.
Clemson offered 2016 2G Lindy Waters III of Norman, OK.
