With National Signing Day creeping closer, we continue to talk to some of the recruits who are expected to be playing in the Palmetto State next season. Tonight, we welcomed in Gamecock quarterback commitment Michael Scarnecchia to the program.
Scarnecchia has been committed to the Gamecocks since October and says he has kept in touch with USC head coach Steve Spurrier and has spoken with him on a weekly basis since his commitment.
Scarnecchia says he has been implementing Spurrier’s advice into his training regimen and is working to improve on several aspects of his game before arriving in Columbia.
Tonight, we asked Scarnecchia about how he views his place in the USC quarterback discussion and if he feels motivated to become another Gamecock quarterback who had great success in college after not being a highly-touted recruit.
