4 star LB Chris Register (6-4 220) of Greensboro, NC is projected as one of the top players in his state for the 2014 class. As a sophomore he had 90 tackles and 8 sacks. Clemson has offered him and USC has been talking to him but he doesn't believe the Gamecocks have offered. Register also has offers from Duke, North Carolina, NC State, Tennessee, Wake Forest and Ole Miss. He's also getting interest from Alabama. Register has been to North Carolina and Wake Forest for games and will visit NC State this Saturday. He won't get to Clemson until after his season. "I'm interested in everybody that's interested in me," Register said. "I'm just playing my cards," though he admitted to growing up an Alabama fan. Register said he talks regularly with Clemson recruiter Robbie Caldwell and added he's in no hurry to make a decision. There is no favorite.
