Sometimes offers trickle in and sometimes they come in bunches. Put 2018 DB Jairus Brents (5-10 178) of Louisville in the latter category. His phone, email and Twitter have been blowing up in recent weeks with big time offers including one Tuesday from USC.
“I was very thankful for the offer,” Brents said. “Coach Muschamp was st Florida and had a big role in developing Vernon Hargreaves, and Coach T-Rob (Travaris Robinson) is one of the most energetic coaches in the business. One of my mentors is Rachiem Monroe and he played corner at South Carolina. He has told me a lot of good things about the school so I wanted to see if for myself.”
Brents has not yet been to USC but he plans to get there at some point. This season he has visited Notre Dame, Louisville, Kentucky, Indiana, Purdue, Michigan, Michigan State, Tennessee, Wisconsin, Duke and Alabama. He was in Tuscaloosa last weekend.
The offer list for Brents includes Alabama, Duke, Florida, Illinois, Kentucky, Indiana, Louisville, Michigan State, NC State, Mississippi State, Tennessee, Wisconsin and others.
