Stevenson CANNOT miss tonight.  This one is fun to watch.

still got some work to do with the bigs, as they’re still not drawing easy fouls.  But Woolley’s having a nice game offensively.

Wofford is being pesky in short runs of shooting, but overall good game for the ‘Cocks.

I hope everyone saw that backdoor cut Cousinard made with a BEAUTIFUL pass from Stevenson.  Stevenson is showing he’s worth every penny of his scholly tonight.  Great shooting, great ball handling, great defense.  Just ‘da man tonight.

Gamecocks looking good in Nov. Best looking team Frank has had in a while. Maybe they can come out of Nov. and Dec. with only 2 losses. Could be.....

This is the best team we have had out of the blocks since the 2016-17 season and we know what happened then.

Having said that, I believe this team is much more balanced than that one and the home crowd senses it.

Stevenson is easily the best perimeter shooter we have had since Frank has been here.  Sindarius had his moments, but was too inconsistent.

Reese and Carter both have quick pull-up jump shots.

The team is greatly improved since the disappointing Princeton loss and will continue to get better in December.

Wofford was off last year, but they are definitely a NCAAT-level team now.  I would say this is the best OOC game I have watched since the UVA upset and Michigan win in the 2016-17 season when Moe Wagner was an underclassman.  Frank didn't really bark at the guys that much.  They seem to know what's going on and what they need to do.

Attendance was only 8,411, but it was an engaged crowd.   Plenty loud.

Kinda like the old Carolina Coliseum for those of us old enough to remember that.

Great stats for us, especially 21 points from the bench and 22 points off of turnovers.  6/11 from the perimeter in each half.

Fantastic shooting night for the Gamecocks. Stevenson went off! The team shooting 60%, 55%, and 73% is probably the best shooting team effort for quite some time.

Now Bryant should be back for the next game, right? His suspension was 5 games only, and we're now 4-1. I still have big questions about the Georgetown, Clemson, and FSU games ahead, but those questions are getting smaller and smaller if we can continue this. Georgetown and Clemson hasn't really played anyone yet, and the two best opponents Clemson has played they lost to. We'll see. We've had up and down performances in the past - the team establishing consistency will tell us if they are legitimately stepping up. But tonight was a confidence-building effort...

Portal can transform a bad team into a tournament team over night and seems to do its magic on the gridiron as well. NIL also could become assets.
