Tough opponent.   I want to see how we do against them.   Make Ark.  take jump shots.  Make our FT.  Keep Ark.  off the FT line.  Rebound Ark's missed shots.  Don't turn it over.

So far, they’re following your game plan pretty well.  We have the FT advantage (5-7 Cocks, 0-0 Arky) 9 Defensive Rebounds and advantage of Offensive Rebounds).  Looking pretty good against a REALLY good Arkansas team.

 
We’ve got good team distribution of the ball, and balanced scoring.  We’re just getting CRUSHED from the deep 3 ball by Arky.  Desi Sills and Moses Moody beating us badly from behind the arc - 7 3’s between the two of them so far.

 
Arkansas up 49-32 at the half.  Gamecocks are shooting shy of 28% in 1st half.  Arkansas is 54% shooting, with 50% 3 point shooting (10-20).

We were shooting well initially, then went ice cold.  Must stop the outside shooting from Arky, get the ball down low for high % shots for the Cocks and cut down on the fouls (which we did well to start the game).

 
Oh, and Woods, McCreary and Minott are out scoring both Cousinard and Hannibal.  That’s gotta change too.

 
Both Lawson and Bryant were cold in the 1st half - that hurt our offense. McCreary, Woods, and Minott were our offensive leaders in the 1st. We're gonna need AJ and Key to step up after the break, if we're going to compete in this game......

 
We can't defend ARK.   And we can't make shots.   Not a good combination.

We should try to get the ball to Minott as much as possible in the second half.    He and McCreary are shooting the best for us.   Bryant played badly in the first half.  I am real proud of Minott.  He did well going against a 7-3 guy.

We did keep Ark off the FT line pretty well.  But we didn't get there enough.

If Ark keeps shooting it this well, we have no chance.  

 
Minaya is still in his LOOOOOOOOONG shooting slump.  Frank should play McCreary at the 4.  He's a better scorer than Minaya.   Hannibal has to get in the paint more and either pass or shoot.

Only problem is that McCreary commits too many fouls, which is contrary to what we need to do (keeping Arkansas off the line).  But yes, that is true about McCreary helping offensively,

 
Arkansas has an advantage of 7 three-pointers over us right now.  That is EXACTKLY the number of 3 point shots that Sills and Moody have made between them.  Gotta put a “glue guy” on one of them (preferably Moody) and keep the ball out of their hands the rest of the game.

Neither Moss nor Minaya should be playing.  Neither is good enough to play in the SEC.   But, Frank won't play someone else.   I would.

We have one guy in double figures right now - McCreary.  Only Leveque has not scored tonight.  This team is a head scratcher.

Our guys are only good enough to make ARK's practice squad, because that's what we look like tonight.
