South Carolina (7-8, 0-2 SEC) hits the road for another mid-week conference clash at Kentucky (10-5, 1-2 SEC) on Tuesday. Tipoff is slated for 7 p.m. (ET) at Rupp Arena on ESPN2 with Karl Ravech (pxp) and Jimmy Dykes (analyst) on the call for the broadcast.

The Gamecocks have won just twice all-time at Rupp. The team’s last win there was Jan. 31, 2009, a 78-77 victory in which Zam Fredrick had 24 points and Devan Downey had 23.

Carolina’s first win in Lexington all-time came on March 2, 1997, an 84-79 victory over the 3rd-ranked Wildcats (Gamecocks were ranked 6th). The win gave South Carolina the outright SEC title and it was UK’s first home loss on Senior Day in 33 years. All-time leading scorer BJ McKie scored 22 and Larry Davis had 20. The Gamecocks also went 33-of-44 at the free throw line in the game.

We have our issues, but UK could be having a better year right now, too.

Can we pull off the upset at Rupp after getting wiped up and down the court by the Vols at home?

Anything's possible, I guess.

The Aggies (10-5/2-0) are next at the CLA on Saturday. They have Mizzou at home tomorrow.

Should be a packed house.

I think the UT beatdown was a wake-up call for the coaches and players. The lights just had to come on at some point.

Hopefully they keep playing at this level. Every SEC game will matter in terms of the postseason and I think the CLA home crowd likes the coaches and players.

Gonna be some great Saturday game day experiences at the CLA if we continue to play well.

When you look down the eye of the storm after getting run over and get back up like that you have IT,!! Now you have to find away to tap into IT consistently, trusting each other and playing for that guy on your left and right is how you do that... Hayden Browns statement in the presser had enough will and grit to make me want to lace em up and play ball with that kid!
I was wrong, the Gamecocks will go as far as Meechie, Brown and Jackson take them, Doublea1971 was right! We will need some games from Chico and Wright as well as Grey and BDV to make some real noise...
