*** USC MBB (9-4/0-1) @ Vandy (9-4/1-0) Game Thread ***

Miami won at Duke last night with only five (5) turnovers.  Duke turnied it over 17 times.  Duke was better in almost all the statisical categories, so the turnovers seemed to be a major factor.    Five turnovers is ridiculously good.   But Miami plays "small ball" and they have players with a lot of experience.

If USC could get down around 15 turnovers, it would make us much better.  TO's and excessive fouling are the main areas of concern right now.   If we can improve in those things, we'll be a lot harder to beat.

TOs have also been a problem for Dawn's squad this year as well.

This year's MBB team seems to be good at learning from its mistakes on game day.

If Frank's team can have fewer TOs and make more FT than their opponent, they are hard to beat.  When we lose its usually because we are negative relative to our opponent in those areas.    I don't worry about losing because the opponent makes more threes than we do.    I'm much more concerned about our turnovers and how much we get outscored on FT.
