USC RB commitment Marshawn Lloyd

July 12, 2019

USC RB commitment Marshawn Lloyd was quoted earlier this month at The Opening saying Georgia was still coming hard after him and he planned to visit Athens for the Notre Dame game. But Lloyd walked back some of those comments in a Thursday story written by Adam Friedman of Rivals. Lloyd acknowledged the talk of him visiting Georgia and Penn State, and he told Friedman, “I want to be in 100 percent with South Carolina.” Lloyd added that he’s not going on many visits and he doesn’t have any planned at this point. Lloyd did say in the article that Georgia is the other school he hears the most from besides USC, and Bulldogs running backs coach Dell McGee is staying on him.

Feel better about him now. Georgia has moved on now hot and heavy for Tank and from what I know looking to be another Murphy lock we had to commit to the Tarholes. Only difference is the jersey color

Think Tank comes here after Milton commits to UGA.  At least that’s what some recruiting podcast are saying.

Yeah I hear you. But after talking, really not a difference maker with Tank. He really wants to go to Georgia and Georgia is pushing hard now and when they want they have a very good chance of having there way. But we shell see. Hope I am wrong here. Not giving up but not a lock like a few weeks ago when things where looking so good for the Gamecocks. Lost some recruiting momentum for now if we would get a commit from one of our key targets like Tank etc. Would be right back.

Lloyd ain't going anywhere but Cootlumbia. I also understand that our coaching staff, especially Coach Brown, is pushing the 2 RB rotation like Jawja has had over the last 10 years. Lloyd and Tank in the same back field would be a top of the line combo in anyone's book.

Gonna be him and Harris now

I don't see Fenwick getting a lot of love.  He looked pretty good when he was on the field last year.

Started recruiting this kid a few weeks ago when they knew Tank would be a long shot.

USC offered 2020 RB Henry Parrish (5-10 173) of Miami. He committed to Pitt in June. Miami, Florida State, Michigan, Indiana, Tennessee, Penn State, Wake Forest and West Virginia are some other reported offers.
