USC has not yet offered DL [COLOR= rgb(178, 34, 34)]Sulaiman Kamara [/COLOR] (6-2 295) of Richmond, VA but the Gamecocks are keeping an eye on
him and had him in for the Kentucky. Since then he’s been in touch with recruiter Deke Adams.
“He’s telling me he likes the way I play and likes my film,” Kamara said. “He said he really wants me but he’s going to continue to scout me.”
Kamara currently has offers from North Carolina, Wake Forest, Virginia, East Carolina, Temple, James Madison, Old Dominion and Charlotte. He’s planning to go to games at Virginia and Temple in the near future and said Wake Forest is recruiting him the hardest right now.
Kamara has a top five of North Carolina, Virginia, Wake Forest, Temple and East Carolina with no favorite but said an offer from the Gamecocks would move them onto that list.
“South Carolina is a terrific place,” he said. “I loved the atmosphere. The campus, I really loved it. The coaching staff seemed great. I loved the vibe when I entered the stadium. I feel I would fit great there.”
Kamara would like to make his decision late in the season or after the season. Last season he had 108 tackles with 8 sacks.
Update on DB Javon Jackson of Tyrone, GA…he has not set any official visits yet and said things with USC are “pretty good. They recruit me pretty hard. And Duke does, and Ohio State is starting to recruit me pretty hard as well.
