Green Bay -- Today we catch up with South Carolina defensive coordinator Lorenzo Ward to talk about DE/OLB Melvin Ingram. Ward discusses Ingram's rare athletic ability, how creative South Carolina got with him and one tweet that particularly motivated Ingram. The last two seasons, Ingram had 19 sacks and 26 tackles for loss.
Q: Melvin Ingram's athleticism stands out immediately. Just how athletic is he?
Ward: "He's been blessed with a tremendous amount of ability. Melvin is a guy that can do anything. I tell coaches all the time he can throw a football 70 yards, he's athletic enough to play tailback and he's quick enough to play linebacker and he's fast enough to rush off the edge and sack the quarterback. There's nothing Melvin can't do." (more)
