During his senior season at Ridge View High School, South Carolina linebacker commitment Damani Staley recorded 27 sacks.
Staley, who’s the son of former South Carolina running back Duce Staley, committed to the Gamecocks in March.
One of four linebackers committed in South Carolina’s 2017 class, Staley, a 3-star, is listed as the No. 76-ranked outside linebacker in the class of 2017. He committed to South Carolina over offers from ECU and Georgia Tech.
For the Columbia, S.C. high school, Staley had 110 tackles, 47.5 tackles for loss and 27 sacks this season.
