College baseball practice starts Friday, the season begins three weeks later. Mark Kingston is going into his third season as head coach at USC. Thus far, he’s had mixed results. Year one ended one win shy of Omaha. Year two couldn’t end soon enough as an injury-riddled squad failed to make the NCAA Tournament.
