Videos from after Today's practice with Lembo, Satterfield, White, and player Darius Rush

Sept. 15, 2021

The Gamecocks are continuing preparations for Saturday’s matchup at #2-Georgia. And while the quarterback situation remains up in the air, there are plenty of other concerns for the Gamecocks as they size up the Bulldogs.

On Wednesday, offensive coordinator Marcus Satterfield, defensive coordinator Clayton White, and special teams leader Pete Lembo met with the media to recap the win over East Carolina and to preview the challenge ahead in Athens.

Few quick hitter quotes

Special teams coordinator Pete Lembo: said he's happy his group has contributed to the two wins with blocked punts, explosive returns, a muddle-huddle.

Lembo: Hopes they are building a reputation with their special teams but hard to say that's the case after their first two games, and they are about to step up in class in terms of opposition.

DC Clayton White: says their plan doesn't change regardless of who the Georgia quarterback is.

White: said he and the mother of Georgia star defensive tackle Jordan Davis went to the same high school in North Carolina, so he knows him well, Davis made a visit to NC State when White was there, he didn't want to say too much about him except he's big guy.

White: Said Cam Smith has been a great player for them, working with him to channel some of his extra energy in the right direction.

OC Marcus Satterfield: said he prides himself on being a disciplined play caller and not get out of the game plan when things aren't going well, plus their defense allows him the luxury to also stay with a running game even if they are two touchdowns down in first half.

Satterfield: said he prides himself on being a disciplined play caller and not get out of the game plan when things aren't going well, plus their defense allows him the luxury to also stay with a running game even if they are two touchdowns down in first half.

Satterfield: said problems in running game related to the small things related to blocking not being executed properly.

Give this staff a fighting chance. I see already on others boards that some fans have jump ship before getting out of the harbor.

Most fans are just idiots anymore. They have no idea what they are talking about. They sit there with their little keyboards and try to act like they understand the game.
