Ladies, last game of SECT & the focus is strictly on this game as you already achieved a 1 seed in the NCAAT dance.  The Bulldog’s are a competitive team, but I am banking on the chemistry & will to win of our team.  The big D is very crucial today to close off the dribble drive in the paint that pain-staked us the last time we played them.  Again, take care of the ball, out rebound the hell out of them for as much second opportunities as we can, & stay out of foul trouble.  Of course, more superb bench performance as well.  You got this; the title is yours; BRING DOWN THE CONFETTI; GO COCKS!

Gamecocks hold a 38-22 halftime lead over the Mississippi State Bulldogs. The Gamecocks have shot 50% in the 1st half, while holding the Bulldogs to only 23% in the first 20 minutes. Miss St. led the SEC in FG % this season, so that's strong defense from the Gamecocks!!

Boy it sure is fun to watch such a good team. They slow down to burn some clock and Miss St. scores 6 real quick. They speed back up and take the lead back to 22 real quick. No team will stop these girls.

The #1 South Carolina Gamecocks are your 2020 Southeastern Conference Tournament Champions!! They defeat Mississippi State in convincing fashion 76-62 to win their 5th Tournament title in 6 seasons.

Four Gamecocks score in double digits led by senior Kiki Herbert-Harrigan with 15 pts, 4 rebounds, and 3 blocks. Freshman Brea Beal scored 12 pts on 6-9 shooting, and added 11 rebounds for her first career double-double, with 3 blocks and 1 steal. Senior Ty Harris also secured a double-double for the game, her 2nd on the season, with 10 pts and 10 assists, and added 3 rebounds and 2 steals. Freshman Zia Cooke added 10 pts as well. Aliyah Boston only scored 4 pts on 2-3 shooting, but tied Beal for the rebound lead with 11 and added 2 blocks and a steal.

The Gamecocks (32-1, 16-0) now rest and prepare for the NCAA Tournament, and will look forward to the NCAAT Selection for the draw selection, which will take place next Sunday. Great Job Gamecocks!!!!
