Greenville SC - The #1-ranked South Carolina Women Basketball Team advanced to the semifinal round of the Southeastern Conference Tournament with a resounding 89-56 victory over #9 Seed Georgia on Friday at Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, SC. The #1 Seeded Gamecocks will now face #5 Seed Arkansas in the first game played on Saturday at 5:00 PM. The 25th-ranked Razorbacks survived a tough 67-66 win over #5 Seed Texas A&M by hitting two free throws with 8 seconds remaining in the game, and then blocking the Aggies' final shot attempt.
In South Carolina's quarterfinal win, the Gamecocks (30-1) reached the 30-win mark for fourth time in the past six seasons and beat the ninth-seeded Bulldogs (17-14) for the 12th straight game.
Kiki Herbert Harrigan and Ty Harris, the last players left from the 2017 national champions, led the way.
The senior duo combined for six of the Gamecocks' first 10 points and kept pushing the tempo after the team had opened a double-digit lead. Harris hit a 3-pointer to cap a 13-3 run that made it 45-28.

South Carolina is 20-18 all-time against Arkansas, having swept the Razorbacks in their two regular-season match-ups this season to break the all-time tie.
