Gamecocks lead 40-23 with a minute left in the 1st half. Clemson is out-rebounding South Carolina right now 25-18, but Gamecocks with the major edge over the Tigers in points scored off of turnovers 14-0.....

They are definitely looking like a top 5 team today. It is fun to watch such a good team  in Gamecock uniforms.

Kobi Thornton - a Clemson Forward who is their leading scorer and rebounder for the first half, and also their top shooter at the FT line, paid a price for those stats, by picking up 3 fouls in the first half. She just picked up her 4th foul to start the 2nd half, which isn't good for Clemson.....

A period of ugliness from both teams in the first half of the 3rd Period - lots of turnovers and fouls from both camps - opens up with a sudden surge from the Gamecocks, as they reel off a 12-0 run with 5 of 6 shooting and some forced turnovers of Clemson, to extend their lead to 61-27 with 4 minutes in the 3rd. Clemson has gone 0-9 shooting in the 3rd Period....

Gamecocks win 84-48 over in-state rival Clemson to improve to 6-0 on the season. Both teams were pretty even in total rebounds (tied at 44 each), fouls (18 for CU, 16 for USC) and free throws (16 attempts for USC, 14 for CU), but Clemson could not make their shots, shooting 26% (17-65) for the game including a paltry 8% (8-32) for the 2nd half. South Carolina meanwhile shot 48% (33-69) for the game despite only 42% in the 2nd half, and 35% (8-23) from behind the 3-pt. line.

Six Gamecocks scored in double digits with Kiki Herbert-Harrigan (13 pts, 9 rebounds) and Aliyah Boston tying for team lead with 13 pts apiece, Ty Harris with 12 pts, Brea Beal added 11 pts, and Zia Cooke and Destanni Henderson chipped in with 10 pts each.

South Carolina next goes on the road to play undefeated and #18 ranked Indiana Thursday in the Virginia Islands as part of the Paradise Jam Invitational Tournament.....

We have allstars on our team that don't even start.  Not just one or two, but a whole bunch of em.  I'm not worried if one or two of our players have an off night.  Somebody on that bench will come in hot.  We're just that loaded.

Kiki seems to be playing with a little more pep and purpose, compared to last year.  I think she's happy where she's at and being on the team again.
