OL Landon Dickerson of Hudson, NC will carry his recruiting into the fall. Dickerson has a list of six favorites but is also opening himself up to new schools. “I know how the schools that have been with me feel about me,” Dickerson said.” He visited Auburn, Florida State, Georgia and Virginia Tech earlier this month and has no more visits planned right now. His favorite six have been USC, Florida State, Tennessee, Virginia Tech, Michigan and Auburn. He plans to take some official visits and make a decision during his season. He is set to visit Michigan September 12th and Auburn November 27th. There is no leader.

LB TJ Brunson of Richland Northeast is a Louisville commitment but he heard last week from USC linebackers coach Kirk Botkin. He said the Gamecocks remain interested and he’s not totally closed the door on them or others. “I’m still open to other schools and I’ll still take visits,” he said.

DE Josh Brown of Charlotte is a Florida State commitment and he said the commitment remains very solid, to the point he’s not sure he’ll visit any other schools this fall. Brown attended the USC Showcase camp in late June and was invited to the pool party this month but couldn’t make it. Brown said the Gamecocks have kept in touch thru Kirk Botkin but there’s nothing real serious going on between them at this point. He’s also hearing from Tennessee, West Virginia and Oregon. Florida State is his only sure official visit this fall. “I’m not sure how that’s going to go in the next couple of months or where I’m gong to visit and stuff like that,” he said. Brown said he and Botkin have not talked about an official visit to USC but said he’s sure they would offer him one if he asked. Brown said he’s now focused more on his season than recruiting.

OL Ashton Julious of Florence will return to Lackawanna JC, PA on Monday and he doesn’t have any more visits planned before returning to school. He did talk with USC recruiter Shawn Elliott earlier this week. “He was just checking up on me and seeing how things are going,” he said. Julious said he probably won’t make a decision until after he takes an official visit to Oklahoma October 24th. He does not have any other official visits scheduled. He’s also been talking to USC, West Virginia, Illinois, Arizona State, Central Florida and Iowa State about visits during the season. “Everybody still kind of equal right now,” he said adding there is no favorite.
