WR Amari Jefferson of Chattanooga named a final six of South Carolina, Alabama, Tennessee, Georgia, Miami, and Oklahoma. Those cut from his previous shortlist were Clemson, Oregon, Georgia Tech, Colorado, Penn State, and Florida State. Jefferson will take an official visit to Alabama this weekend, Georgia on June 16th, and Tennessee on June 23rd. He last visited South Carolina for a junior day in January.
South Carolina is among the top 12 with DE Jordan Thomas of Ramsey, NJ. The others are Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Michigan, LSU, Penn State, Miami, Auburn, Rutgers, and Oregon. He visited Rutgers last weekend and will visit Georgia this weekend, Michigan on the 16th, and South Carolina on the 23rd.
Punter Mason Love of Parkville, MO plans to take an official visit to South Carolina this weekend. He is also strongly considering Cal. He said Gamecocks special teams coordinator Pete Lembo identifies him as his top target at punter for the 2024 class.
