The Gamecocks' missed on two top targets on Wednesday. TE Oscar Delp of Cumming, GA announced a commitment to Georgia picking the Bulldogs over the Gamecocks, Clemson and Michigan. Also WR Jayden Gibson (6-6 185) of Winter Garden, FL announced a commitment to Florida. The Gamecocks continue to work other receivers including Antonio Williams of Dutch Fork, Dane Key of Lexington, KY and Kaleb Webb of Powder Springs, GA. They have two receivers committed in the class in Kylic Horton and Landon Samson. Samson will be taking his official visit this weekend along with safety commitment Peyton Williams.
On good news Gamecocks made the top 10 with 2023 DT Keith Sampson Jr. of New Bern, NC. The others on the list are Duke, NC State, North Carolina, Alabama, East Carolina, Georgia, Virginia, Florida State and Ohio State. #Clemson also has been involved but has not offered.
Gamecocks' offered 2023 LB TaMere Robinson (6-4 210) of Pittsburgh.
Gamecocks offered 2024 TE Michael Smith (6-4 225) of Savannah.
