USC landed one of its top defensive targets Friday afternoon when DB Wesley Green of Lithonia, GA announced a commitment to the Gamecocks on Twitter. “Happy to say that…
I am now committed to University of South Carolina #GamecockNation,” Green tweeted around 1:30 PM. Green picked the Gamecocks over Clemson, Ole Miss, Tennessee and Georgia.
“They do a good job with defensive backs,” Green said of USC earlier this year. “It’s pretty much DB University.” Green visited USC June 14th with his father and it was after that visit that he publicly identified the Gamecocks as his favorite. He becomes USC’s sixth commitment for the 2014 class.
