Let's play the "What If" game here. We've seen UGA and UF destroyed by injuries and we listen to the monsterous hoard of people callling for Muschamp's head. What if we lost that many starters.... how bad would we be?
.
What if we lost:

Shaw, Quarles, Hampton, Davis, Ellington, Byrd, Robinson, Shell, Clowney, Moore
.
Ouch

We still wouldn't be as bad as UF. They have no leadership. I've said it many times - coaches who are too emotional will have teams who mirror their emotions. The highs are really high but the lows are also really low. The best teams have guys like Saban leading them...always focused, always disciplined, always sticking to the plan and they just keep after it no matter what.

Teams like Clemson with Dabo and Florida with Muschamp will always slip up somewhere, and if that ball gets rolling too fast in a negative direction, then the wheels totally fall off. They aren't emotionally and mentally able to recover and weather the storm.

UGA - IMHO - has done about as well as it can with their injuries. That's why you hear about Muschamp being fired and not Richt...even though UGA was a top 5 team who is just now sneaking back into the top 25. Richt just sticks with the plan and gets what he can out of his guys. Now I think Grantham is terrible, but overall I think Richt has done better with it than Muschamp.
