What the defensive Line Depth Chart could look like this fall

Could it look like this in 2020 Fall practice.  What you say? I think the Gamecocks strength is at SDE. Gamecocks have built solid depth on the line. Maybe Burch can help out at Buck position as a freshman and grow into a SDE. Gamecocks will probably play more 4-3/4-2 next season with four guys down.

DE - Sterling / Anderson
DT - Pickens / Thomas

Reading up on Burch it seems like he has the body to play DT too. I could see him occasionally flex to DT on pass plays as part of a speed package.

I think he is a natural end, but could line up in the middle.  I hope, like Pickens this year, we can work him in slowly and let him learn and get experience.

I’m not sure how good I feel about this lineup.  We are going to miss Kinlaw.  Pickens needs to have a good spring.

You left out Huntley. I feel he is a part of the reason we got Burch and they play well together.
