Need some rain so let's talk the rainiest game you ever attended at W-B. One that stands out to me was the East Carolina game very rainy and a very muddy field miserable night all the way around we got thump by East Carolina. One running back cannot recall his name took it to us all night long.

This is not even a close race. I cant remember the year but it was against ECU. The steps at WB were practically water falls. Marty Simpson missed 2 5 yard field goals to allow ECU to beat us. Wettest road game ??  Against NC Stayut. Hurricane Floyd was hoovering over the area and dumping an inch of rain an hour. Lou Holtz first game as our coach..

Yeah I well remember that game and the tall sideline announcer or reporter ex-collage player, real tall with blond hair lost his life the following year saving a kid from drowning. Really enjoyed his sideline reports from the games he covered for ESPN.

Yep I was there, so that's my vote also.  It was 1992, and we lost 20-18.  Missed 5 FGs if memory serves.

First time I'd ever seen water cascading down the steps like that.

Yea. Wasn’t the ECU game in Brad Scott’s last year? I know the N.C. State game was Lou Holtz’s first.  I was at both of those too.  As bad as those games were Akron this past year seemed just as bad.

No, Scott's first season was 1994.  That was Sparky Woods, and that was the year of the infamous player revolt after we started 0-5 (Taneyhill took over and we finished 5-6, including our first win against Tennessee -- that got Johnny Majors fired, lol)

Taneyhill was amazing that half year. Then the coaches tried to improve/fix his technique and he was never quite as good again.
