Whitlow has great visit with Ward, Botkin
Jan. 16, 2015
Three-star defensive end Quandeski Whitlow (Opelika, Ala./Opelika) was visited on Thursday by South Carolina coaches Lorenzo Ward and Kirk Botkin and the visit went very well. Whitlow, however, still hasn't closed the door on other schools and will continue to take his scheduled official visits.
"Both coaches seemed like a man about their word," Whitlow told TheBigSpur.com. "I was told I would develop before next season and I will be playing as a true freshman."
Whitlow is currently on his way to Louisville though for his first of three planned official visits. He is scheduled to visit South Carolina next weekend and Florida on January 30 and he expects to hold to that visit schedule without making any changes or cancellations.
He does look forward to coming to Columbia on January 23 to visit with a bunch of future Gamecocks during the big recruiting weekend.
"I'm just looking forward to having fun," Whitlow said. "I'm looking forward to spending time with my future teammates."
When asked if he was "pretty firm" to South Carolina, Whitlow responded, "Yes sir," but he hasn't shut the door on other schools yet either. Louisville and Florida are still in the running.
"After all of my visits, I'm going to make my decision wisely," Whitlow said.
