Jamyest Williams
DB Jamyest Williams of Loganville, GA got a double dose of cookouts, games and recruiting this weekend as he hit up the social events at Clemson and USC. Williams has the two in his top five along with Ohio State, Georgia and Tennessee.
Here’s Williams’ breakdown of his two visits:
Clemson…”It was very good, I enjoyed it. I had a good time just bonding with the players and talking with Coach Reed and Coach Venables. Great guys. It was a good time. And I talked to a lot of commits.”
“They are looking for one guy and they say they really need me. It would be a great opportunity to go to Clemson. They have a lot of great guys coming in also. They just need that alpha dog, you know?”
USC…”That went very well. It really wasn’t too much on recruiting with Coach Muschamp. We had a lot of activities going on. There were a lot of commits and it was good talking to them, also.”
“They were telling me it’s a great opportunity and a tremendous environment outside of football. Coach Muschamp and Coach T-Rob (Travaris Robinson) have a great regiment and I already see that myself. That’s what I really like about them.”
“They told me I would be able to make a lot of plays. Being in the SEC and just making plays. Just the same as Clemson.”
Williams said all five of his finalists are equal and none have separated from the pack. He said he might take another visit to Georgia soon and he’s working on his official visit dates with his five. He does not have a decision timetable.
