USC and Clemson could each receive a visit from 4 star WR Darius Slayton 6'1" 175lbs of Norcross, GA this summer. Slayton tweeted early in May that the Tigers and Gamecocks were in his top eight. The complete list was USC, Clemson, Auburn, LSU, Alabama, Ohio State, Tennessee and Georgia. Asked to confirm the list, Slayton said, "I can't remember exactly who all was in it and I think it's probably fluctuated a little since then, but you can just refer to it as my top eight right now."
Where USC and Clemson stand with Slayton would be difficult to gauge but he did say he liked both schools. "I like South Carolina a lot and the offense they run," he said. "I like Clemson too. One of their coaches is good friends with one of my cousins and so I know a good bit about the program. In general, I like the school overall."
His only visit this summer was to Florida. He said he plans to take several more though he does not know to where and when those visits will be taken. He does know he will head to Oregon in July for The Opening.
Slayton plans to commit in the fall. He added that he has not been contacted by either Clemson or USC recently.
