WR Gavin Samson, brother of Gamecock WR Landon Samson, is living in Columbia and is in the process of submitting his application to the Gamecocks so he can enroll in the fall and join the team as a walk-on. Gavin Samson has been in the military and is now ready to resume his college football career. He played one season at Harding University in Arkansas after graduating from high school, then joined the military. Gavin Samson, according to his father, currently is rehabbing from hip surgery to repair some damage from his military days.
