WR Kyle Davis of Decatur, GA has been a USC commitment since last July and he said Tuesday night he remains “solid” with that commitment. But, Davis also said he’s not finished with recruiting, and the USC coaches know that.
“They encourage me to go and see places,” said Davis who went to Auburn for a junior day last weekend. “It would be a waste of the recruiting process if I didn’t go. You only get to enjoy this one time. My recruiting is not done. I’m going to enjoy it while I can.”
And that enjoyment will include official visits this fall to schools other than USC. “I will take full advantage of it,” Davis said.
He had been to Auburn before so Davis wasn’t blown away by anything in particular on the visit last weekend. For him, it was just another step in the process.
“It was just like every other visit,” Davis said. ‘They tell you all this stuff and it sounds good, but I don’t know. I’ve been to Auburn before. I like it. It is what it is.”
Davis does not have any other visits planned right now but he will make another trip to USC at this point. He said Alabama is recruiting him hard and will wait for him to visit before offering. And he said Georgia also is working him hard.
USC also is doing its work. Davis said he talks with recruiter GA Mangus practically every day.
Last season Davis had 64 catches for 1200 yards.
