WR OrTre Smith of Wando has a decision date of September 11th and a top five of USC, Clemson, Georgia, Florida and North Carolina.  He has visited each and is now in the process of seeing each at least one more time before he decides.  He’s already underway in this round of visits.

Saturday Smith was back at Georgia traveling there with his mentor Ramon Robinson of Elite Position Training.

“He enjoyed it, he likes Georgia and he likes the coaches there,” said Smith’s mother Tashia Green.  “He got to spend some time with other recruits and the current players, and he spent a lot of time with Coach Smart.”

Sunday Smith was at USC for the High School Sports Report media day and while there, according to his mother, he met with Gamecock head coach Will Muschamp and receivers coach Bryan McClendon.

“They were just checking on him and seeing how he was doing,” Ms. Green said.  “It was general stuff about how he was doing and how they were doing with him.”

Clemson and USC are holding invitation only gatherings for recruits this Friday and Saturday respectively and Ms. Green said her son will attend both.  She has some important work  business to take care of Friday but plans to get it done so that she and her son can make it to Clemson by the 5:00 PM start time.  And then the two will be in Columbia Saturday.

Next week Smith plans to return to North Carolina and he is also going to try to get back to Florida in August.

“He just wants to go thru it one more time,” Ms. Green said.  “Everybody is even right now.”
