South Carolina was expecting to get a visit from in-state 5-star defensive end Xavier Thomas on Friday, but the 2018 Florence (S.C.) Wilson star didn’t make it for a pretty good reason.





The 6-foot-3, 249-pound Thomas is the No. 1 player from South Carolina and the No. 3 overall prospect in the nation per the 247Sports Composite.

The Gamecocks will be hosting an impressive list of visitors Saturday for a cookout on campus.
