4 star Washington (D.C.) Friendship Academy linebacker Yannick Ngakoue 6-foot-3, 240lbs has narrowed his list to four schools, three from the ACC and one in the SEC "Florida State, Maryland, South Carolina and Miami are the schools that I'm considering," said Ngakoue. "That covers it."

The four-star linebacker has taken just one official visit thus far. "Just Maryland, so far. I've got visits coming up soon. I haven't firmed up the dates but Florida State, South Carolina, and Miami will each receive official visits."Those are the ones coming up and I'm pretty sure that the visits will come in that order." The 6-foot-3, 240-pounder says that all of his finalists are on equal footing as his recruitment enters the final stretch.

"I have a great relationship with all of the coaches at each school. I'd say that they're recruiting me equally as hard. There's really no separation between them in my mind.

"South Carolina, Florida State, Maryland and Miami are equal." What factors will lead to one school finishing atop the field?

"I'll know where home is after I finish up with the visits. Playing time will, of course, play a factor in my decision. I want to major in kinesiology, so that will play a factor as well."

Ngakoue says its down to three

01/05/13

LB Yannick Ngakoue of Washington, DC was at the Under Armour Game this week and in a video interview late in the week with Rivals.com he said he was down to a final three of USC, Maryland and Florida State. "If I go to Maryland, I can stay home and my mom can see me play," Ngakoue said. "With Florida State, I have a real good relationship with coach Sal (Sunseri). He tells me I could be a good fit in their defense. And South Carolina wants me to play inside linebacker and I like coach Spurrier a lot." Ngakoue said distance will not be a factor in his thinking and he won't announce until Signing Day. "It's going to be what's best my mom thinks is for me," he said. "When I take my visits, I will know it's home." He has visited Maryland and is scheduled to visit Florida State January 12th and USC the following weekend. link: http://www.goupstate.com/article/20130104/PSPORTS02/130109871/-1/PSPORTS
