South Carolina: The Gamecocks will finish second in the SEC East
I'm all in on Beamer Ball and Spencer Rattler round two in Columbia. South Carolina has two tough nonconference games against UNC and Clemson, but even if it loses both of those that won't affect their SEC standing. The Gamecocks pull Texas A&M and Mississippi State from the West, meaning they avoid Alabama and LSU. In the East, they'll lose to Georgia, but may even be the favorites against every other team aside from Tennessee. And yes, I'm about to say this: Kai Kroeger, the Gamecocks All-American punter, will be the difference maker in multiple games this year. And so will kicker Mitch Jeter, who was 100% on field goals last season. Also, let's not forget wide receiver Juice Wells and tight end Trey Knox as great options for Rattler. Defensively, South Carolina has some talent coming back as well, with four players on the Athlon Sports' Preseason All-SEC Teams.
