Gamecocks defeat Mars Hill 80-41 in an exhibition at CLA0​

New Gamecock coach Lamont Paris faced an old USC star Wednesday night in the teams’ exhibition game at the Colonial Life Arena. Larry Davis brought in his Mars Hill Lions for the final tune up before the regular season begins next week, and the Gamecocks easily prevailed 80-41. Meechie Johnson led the Gamecocks with 16 points. Chico Carter Jr. added 13 points and freshman GG Jackson contributed 11 points and 7 rebounds.

The Gamecocks open their regular season at home Tuesday night against SC State.
