Eli Jones threw 3.2 scoreless innings to earn the win while Josiah Sightler and Colin Burgess both homered in a 15-hit night.

The Aggies are coming off a 10-5 win over UT Arlington on Tuesday night at home. Dylan Rock homered and had three RBI for Texas A&M in the win. Noah Hall was named the SEC Co-Pitcher of the Week, the conference office announced on May 2. Hall had another outstanding performance this season as the junior allowed just three hits and struck out eight in seven scoreless innings in a 2-1 win over Alabama on Friday night. Hall had a strikeout in five of his seven innings pitched and had a great play in the fifth, shoveling a comebacker to catcher Colin Burgess to get Caden Rose at the plate, keeping the Crimson Tide scoreless on the day. Hall has a 3.09 ERA and a .231 opponent's batting average in SEC play.

Carolina swept Alabama in a three-game SEC series April 28-30, defeating the Tide in a pair of one-run games (6-5 and 2-1) on Thursday and Friday and winning 11-5 on Saturday. It was the first SEC sweep for the Gamecocks since May 14-16, 2021, at Kentucky and the first SEC sweep at Founders Park since March 26-28, 2021, vs. Florida. The Gamecocks swept Alabama for the first time since May 19-21, 2016. Carolina had the only sweep in the league on the weekend and improved to 18-9 at Founders Park this season.

Carolina opens its final homestand of the season on Tuesday night (May 10) as the Gamecocks host USC Upstate. First pitch is at 7 p.m.
