There were some injuries for the Gamecocks' loss Saturday night vs. Mizzou, here's a look at what coach Beamer had to say.

Starting with Linebacker Brad Johnson did not play and was in a walking boot prior to the game while running back MarShawn Lloyd was in and out of the game due to an apparent injury. After the game, head coach Beamer gave an update on the two here is what he said.

Lloyd suffered a quad bruise on his opening carry of the game. He was limited the rest of the time but played a lot of the first half. He was sparsely seen in the second half. “He should be fine. He has a pretty significant bruise on his quad,” Beamer said of Lloyd. “He took a shot in the first half and worked on it throughout halftime. He tried to go but just wasn’t the same. I think he’ll be fine long term. Nothing significant, we don’t think.”

On LB Brad Johnson. “Brad should be fine. Had a little bit of a lower-body injury,” Beamer said. “He was limited in practice this week. We felt like he was going to play.

On DB, Devonni Reed. He also left the game late in the third quarter for a stretch due to an apparent left leg injury. “He’s fine,” Beamer said of Reed. “It looked pretty serious, but he’s fine.”

David Spaulding suffered a knock as well, but he did return.
