Several football personnel questions for the board...

I have a few concerns - perhaps concern might be too strong, but I have questions about some players and some positions. Looking for input from others.

O-Line: Corey Robinson is a beast of a man but he whiffed on some key blocks last year. The play when Connor Shaw got hurt for the last time in the bowl game appeared to be on a missed block by Robinson. How comfortable are we that he's quick enough to handle the blind side? Also Ronald Patrick - he is clearly a hulk, but he's never stood out to me. How confident in him is the board?

TE: Jerrel Adams? Is he ready to step up and make plays all year? Cunningham was a great blocker and possession receiver and also made some big plays. Adams can make the big play but is he prepared to go to war in the trenches when necessary. We need a TE who can block because Busta is a pass-catcher moreso than a blocker.

FB: Do we have a FB or H-back who is good enough to be anything more than a short yardage blocker?

D-Tackle: Surratt and Quarles appear solid, but who else is expected to really step up? Do you think Dixon or Green will get more snaps?

Spur: I like Golightly, but he's pretty small. Can Diggs win that job?

FS: Is Gurley ready for the fall? He looked like a great player before the injury. Do we have anyone else we're really confident in at free?

CB: We need some backups to step up and play well. Christian maybe? What about Ronnie Martin?

Curious about feedback from others...

OL: Robinson will be fine. He needed those reps and that's big. He won't let us down. I thought that Patrick was the weakest link on the line last year. And I mean the man is a beast, but his technique is terrible and you can be as strong as a car, but technique will win every time. He has to sure up his pass blocking especially.

TE: Adams and Anderson are going to have to block, but also the thing about Spurrier that I've always loved is that he asks his players to do what they do best and then he finds the match up. Cunningham was a great blocker so we went double tight and used his skill there to our advantage and then he would catch the ball. I think you will see more passing options from our TE's this year. They will still block obviously but I think you will see that those two combined will collect over 50-60 balls and close to 800 yards.

FB: I don't know that we have that, but again personal will dictate this...look for more 3 wide sets with Adams or Buster split out with wilds and davis in the backfield or maybe 4 wide sets with 1 back. He will find someone who can lead up on the draw play and the counter.

D-tackle: Dixon will def get snaps and something tells me Dukes will step up as well. Don't forget our DT's are really only required to play the first 2 downs if they do their job. So 4 will be more than enough as long as injuries don't bite us.

Spur: I'm praying that Diggs will step up and take this. Golightly reminds me of Faison...but he would be a special team star and solid back up.

FS and CB: other than Hampton I'm concerned. Legree has shown glimpses of both great and terrible plays. Our safeties are all pretty much unproven.
