Looking at our schedule (Auburn, Missouri, Georgia, Florida) and the key players that we are losing and probably a new, and totally untested, quarterback, 8-4 might feel real good. BTW, 8-4 is not bad, but compared to the Shaw/Clowney years, it might feel like a letdown. I wish I felt better that our recruiting this year was going better, but it appears that we are destined to a tough 2014, any comments?

I feel pretty good about where we are offensively. Thompson will be fine as our starter and we have the WR, RB, and should have a quality O line.

Defense is where I am a bit concerned. LB will be improved, but d line won't be as good as in the past 2-4 years.. this unit will be solid, just not as dominating. Secondary is where we are in a lot of trouble. Going to have a lot of young talent getting a lot of PT. Corner is our biggest area of concern.

The schedule is a little tougher next year also. Not looking forward to the Auburn matchup @ Auburn. i say anywhere from 8 to 10 wins...........

Every other team is rebuilding, too. We've got quarterbacks galore. We've got great receivers and tight ends. We've got three outstanding running backs. On defense, same story - maybe no superstars, but plenty of talent and depth. Some people whine about what they don't have while others build on their strengths. Steve Spurrier and his fine staff will find a way to surprise everybody by utilizing the talent we are blessed to have and we will kick some serious SEC and tater booty once again! You're telling me a team with Davis, Williams, and Wilds with a bunch of hogs like Brandon Shell in front of them can't find a way to win some ball games? I refuse to accept that.

I'm not quite ready to predict next year. There are till too many unknowns. A lot of people feel like the linebacker and spur position should be solid. I think our safeties will be solid as well. The defensive line is a question mark, but we do have a lot of talent there that redshirted. The CB situation is very grim. We are in position to land Smith and if Wesley Green doesn't see playing time available with the departure of Christian then he is a nut case.

This said I am most curious about the offense. Will Thompson be able to move the ball? Well if he is going to be able to do it we have got to see the pass protection improve greatly.
