Definitely a scam. My wife gets about 3 a week and the last toll road we were on was more than 5 years ago and we physically paid the fee each time. There's only 1 toll road in SC and that's I-185 outside of Greenville and it's not an EZ Pass road.

Pretty sure the SEC made the schedule like this for the first 2 years of Texas and Oklahoma to buy themselves time to find an acceptable rotation. Every team's conference slate is the same next year, just switch the home team.
