At 6'9" Mongolian Mike (his nickname) is definitely not undersized. From what I understand he plays a lot in the 3 and is an excellent perimeter defender, and can also get a rebound.

I like Mike.
My take on current roster depth:
G Ellis
G Johnson / Knox
W Sharavjamts / Stute / Polk
F Strong / Walker / Assemian
F Essandoko / Butler
I think so far we have improved our backcourt from last year; however, would still love to see a true PG get. Front court is still a little suspect at this time, but we still have 4 spots open where we can get some help. In addition to some bigs, it would also be nice to get another scorer, since Eaglestaff bailed. Glad to see Coach Paris still working the portal.

Looks like Eaglestaff has landed at WVU. Convinced this has to be a bag job.
i like mike's game, i think he can be a capable spot up shooter and he shows an ability to create and pass which is something we sorely lacked period last year let alone from a 6'9 guy on the perimeter. ideally you have the scorers around him so he gets them easier shots but even as it stands now i think he makes us better on both sides of the floor. i also think he gives you enough ball handling that you can start meechie and knox in the backcourt or meechie and mike.
On paper it looks like we've got some good talent coming in. I was bearish on the 23/24 team and bullish on last year's team though, so what do I know?
