Yeah, auto temp control would be a nice feature to have. When I smoke, I have to manually adjust the vents periodically. I’ll check it about every 20-30 min or so and adjust. Not too hard, but you need to stay near the house. Can’t just leave for a couple of hours to run errands.

I have an Akorn by Char-Grill. It’s a big green egg knock off. Charcoal with wood chunks for smoking. It’s not fancy but gets the job done. I don’t have any experience with pellet smokers. People seem to either really love them or don’t care for them.

Anyone who thinks prices will not increase due to all this...... At work this past week I have already received several e-mails from some of our regular suppliers, indicating surcharges going into effect due to the new tariffs. It's happening folks.
