I don't understand Cooke at all, there are times when she's unstoppable and times when she looks like it's her first time on a basketball court. Free throws (or lack of them) is likely going to bite us on the ass at some point.

Kara Lawson coached the 3x3 team in the Olympics, while Dawn was the 5x5 coach.
We had our bench players in the last few minutes with what most folks would say was not a comfortable lead against a good Duke team.
That's a strong coaching statement no matter how you look at it.

The lack of a true point guard really hurt us. This team needs Destanni back, especially since Raven is out for the season. Letting Amihere run point will help in her development, but she is not a point guard. Right now, point guard is our achilles heel...yet we are still winning against good competition. Boston is a beast this year. Big props for her continued development. I love her will/determination to win. I thought she was really smart against that packed Duke defense yesterday.
After playing some against MD, I don't remember seeing LeLe in the game yesterday. Did she play any minutes?

We are going to see a lot of zone against Stanford, but Dawn will have the girls ready for what they will face. Last night was not the sharpest game played, but maybe Duke is a good defensive team. They made the zone defense work. Maryland also had some success with zone defense. We need to have more movement and some really good outside shooting to break the zones we will see. I have great faith that Dawn will have the team ready for what other teams will try to do and we certainly have the talent to overcome any defense.
