A handful of in-state prospects are expected to visit South Carolina over the next few days for spring practice.
Two from Cheraw High School are expected to visit Thursday: 2020 4-star defensive tackle Xavier McIver, who has an offer from the Gamecocks, will be joined by 2020 wide receiver Jalen Coit.
On Saturday, 2019 running back Mikey Dukes (Charleston First Baptist Church School) plans to return to Columbia. Along with South Carolina, the 3-star prospect has offers from Arkansas, East Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest.
The Gamecocks will host 2019 3-star guard Jakai Moore, who’s from Nokesville, Va. South Carolina, Penn State, Virginia and Virginia Tech are among the schools in contention for the 6-foot-6, 295-pound prospect.
South Carolina hasn’t made a move on 2020 wide receiver Antonio Barber, who’s also set to be on campus Saturday. Colorado, Notre Dame, Syracuse, Texas Tech and UCLA have offered.
