We hit 4 that inning that didn’t make it out of the batter’s box. Really tired of this pitcher.

I know I am tired of him. He's thrown 104 pitches, so hopefully he's about done, or if he isn't, maybe he'll weaken down to where we can start hitting him, and we run him off the mound. Of course, if we start hitting him, then he can stay out there!
1-1 Top 8th inning:
HEY!! They take Madden out! A new pitcher comes in for Texas.
The bottom of the lineup finishes up as Callil steps into the batter's box. He grounds out. Allen strikes out. This thing is looking more and more like extra innings.
Brennan Milone pinch-hits for Satterfield. Per the radio broadcast, Joe earlier on a play at 1st running out the throw, he pulled up grabbing his hamstring a bit. He stayed in the game, but he may be a bit gimpy. Milone may take his spot at 3B, but Jeff Heinrich is also now cleared to play, and Satterfield was in for Heinrich while he was injured. So we got options.
Milone strikes out for the final out.
1-1 Bottom 8th inning:
Sure enough, Milone subs in at 3B for Satterfield. Will Sanders comes in out of the Pen for Mahoney.
CRAP. The lead-off batter triples on the first pitch from Sanders. The next batter walks, and Sanders is struggling.
Longhorns on 3B and 1B with 0 outs. The runner on 1st steals 2B, and both men are now in scoring position.
Next batter doubles and scores both basemen. Sanders is not getting any out. Those runs are like a dozen runs at this stage of the game.

They brought in a new pitcher that ain't played yet all season and he sure pitched good. Hope we get him next inning

We are bringing in one of our aces now. Sanders has a 0.00 ERA.
Sanders in 8 pitches too many

3-1 Texas, bottom 8th inning:
Parker Coyne comes in for Sanders. He walks the first batter he faces. The next batter grounds out. Then a Texas pinch-hitter forces the Gamecocks to return to the bullpen, and John Gilreath comes in for Coyne.
Gilreath allows a RBI single to the first Texas batter he faces - we have a LOT of relievers give up bases to the first batters they face in various ways, somehow. 4-1 Texas now. The next batter grounds into a double-play, but major damage done here for Texas.

We watched first pitch strikes all night. Their pitchers shut us down no doubt but we just watched the first pitch it seemed. That’s baseball. Maybe better hitting tomorrow.
Didn't get to watch or listen to the game. Just saw the highlights today on the news.
Disappointing loss, but now we can just focus on just winning the weekend series instead of winning every game.
