I wish it was the case. Either our bats have cooled off hugely, or the Mercer pitchers are better than the ERAs they brought into this series suggested. The Gamecocks hit a combined 17 for 84 (.202) for the series. Hopefully its not a long-lasting trend - our pitching has gotten the job done, but we'll need those bats to heat back up really soon....

Today I think it was the sidearm pitching that threw us off. It seemed like we weren't confident in our hits because we weren't reading the ball very well.

Didn't the announcers say Mercer was in the CWS with us 2002?

Bosnic locked them down pretty good.  Man, we could be deadly if we could get a few more innings out of him.  We need some good LHPs.

We had a no-hitter going into the 8th if I remember correctly.

It seems to me no-hitters seem to happen when a pitcher throws pitches that are hit but can be fielded for the out in a way that reduces the pitch count enough for said pitcher to pitch a complete game.
