***2021 SEC Tournament Championship South Carolina vs Georgia Game Thread***

60-56 Gamecocks. UGA needs to foul USC several times. They foul Henderson hard to the floor, and they call it an intentional foul!

That means the 2 free throws, and then retains the ball! Henderson makes both - 62-56 - but then she has the ball stolen from her, but UGA's Coombs misses the layup. Gamecock's ball!

62-56 South Carolina, 42 seconds left to play.

I can confirm this is what happened.

UGA still has to keep fouling, because they are behind on the scoreboard. They foul Boston. Connolly fouls out for UGA.

Boston was 8-8 at the FT line for the game, but she misses both tries. UGA rebounds. UGA calls the timeout. 62-56 45 seconds to play.

After Boston missed 2 FTs just previously, she makes two more to extend the lead to 67-62 after a big UGA 3-ptr. UGA misses two shots including the layup that's blocked by Boston! Another missed layup by UGA and Boston gets the rebound as the game ends.

South Carolina wins the 2021 SEC Tournament Championship!!

A hair-pulling game, but the Gamecocks win to improve to 22-4, 14-2 on the season. Aliyah Boston led the way with 27 points on 8-12 shooting, 10-12 from the FT line, 10 rebounds, and 4 blocks. Destanni Henderson added 18 pts, 9 boards, and 3 assists....

Go Gamecocks! Great game! I love the fighting in our gals! Time to rest up and get ready for the tournament.
