I watched Brownell's show on Sunday morning. The Tigers took care of business against Alcorn St. the way we did with GW and then they beat #23 Alabama 85-77 at Tuscaloosa after that. Then we beat Notre Dame, so I think the two teams are about even this year.

Red Roosters......81
Taters,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,78

I agree with you. I think it could be a 1 possession win if we play like we did against VT. But I really believe Lamont has brought us a long ways since that game. Clemson will be the first ranked team we face and they are a good team. I just feel Lamont has this team more tuned in. They are not selfish at all and they work really good out there. Even our bench players look like starters out there. This game will show everyone else exactly what SC can do this season. Looking at it realistically, we are the underdog and should get beat. I just feel we are going to step up...

I believe we will make the Top 25 if we beat Clemson.

I have absolutely no idea how to guess or gauge what this game would look like. I've watched parts of several of our games, not one second of a Clemson basketball game. Clemson RPI is 6 and ours 23 per real time rpi. Their SOS 42 and ours 119. I think we're improved and certainly have better players than last year but expect they have the better team based on those numbers. 4 of our 6 wins were vs teams whith losing records. GW was the best win for us so far and we looked good in that game. Who knows? I'm usually wrong in these things.

I was a big fan of Coach Martin's press conferences. I enjoyed listening to him talk about basketball, but I may enjoy Coach Paris' pressers more.

Gamecocks win 83-75. Defensive pressure causes too many turnovers for the Tiggers and points off turnover margin makes the difference. Look for much more inside shooting and lots of fouls/FTs on both sides of the ball.

Like you I haven't watched a single dribble of tater basketball this season. I also have no idea what to expect. I do find it interesting though that the taters have seemed on the verge of running Brownell off several times over the years.

His teams seem to always start off well and then slowly unravel as they get deep into the acc season. Hopefully we can pull it off tomorrow.
