Naytron Culpepper
3 star DB Naytron Culpepper 6'1" 175lbs of Miami took an official visit to Maryland last weekend, his second official visit. He visited USC officially in October. Culpepper enjoyed the trip to College Park and the Terps showed him a clear plan for how he would fit in with them.
“I had a lot of fun, they made me feel at home,” Culpepper said. “They showed me the tradition and where they are trying to go and I really understood what they are trying to do and I liked it a lot. They are are trying to get a lot of Florida players up there to change the atmosphere of some of the people on the team and get it more fun and playing sound football.”
Coaches from Michigan, Buffalo and Ohio have been to his school this week to talk with Culpepper. He is planning an official visit to Michigan State in January. He’s not decided on his other two visits.
Last week USC coach Will Muschamp and defensive coordinator Travaris Robinson watched Culpepper in practice and they had a conversation with him.
“They are not forcing me into anything,” he said. “They are letting me weigh my options and let me look into everything. I’m not rushing into anything. It could come to Signing Day or a little bit before.”
Culpepper said he’s not talked with USC this week but he said USC “definitely” would take his commitment if he decides to go there. And he said he no longer has favorites and considers all the schools equal at this point.
Culpepper’s team will play for a state championship in Orlando this weekend.
