4-star LB Channing Tindall returns for Muschamp Camp
June 14, 2017
Fourr-star linebacker Channing Tindall and 3-star safety commitment RJ Roderick are visiting South Carolina for Wednesday’s camp.
Tindall, who’s ranked as the state’s top overall recruit, according to 247Sports, is also ranked as the No. 45 overall prospect in the Class of 2018.
Roderick wasn’t the only in-state prospect from the Lowcountry who was spotted inside the practice facility. Michel Dukes, the recently offered 2019 running back from First Baptist in Charleston, is watching several of his teammates, though he’s not participating in the camp.
Running backs coach Bobby Bentley spent time chatting him up, before camp began Wednesday morning.
Shortly after rolling into the building, the crew from Crisp County High School (Cordele, Ga.) was greeted Bucks coach Mike Peterson, who recruits the area for the Gamecocks. Shortly thereafter, he was joined by defensive coordinator Travaris Robinson.
Robinson’s primary focus appeared to be on 4-star cornerback Jammie Robinson, a 2019 who lists an offer from the Gamecocks. Classmate Ahdarrious Gee, an unranked linebacker, has offers from South Carolina, Kentucky and Vanderbilt.
Special teams coordinator Coleman Hutzler watched kicker Cole Hanna, a 2018 out of Norcross (Ga.) High School. Hanna kicked for the Maryland staff in College Park late last week.
A crew from Jackson High School (Miami) is back for another workout in Columbia. Archbishop Carroll High School (Washington D.C.) and Berea (S.C.) High School are also participating in Wednesday’s camp.
